yep的最后一个meeting。一切已告了一个尾声。
有些些的惆怅和感慨。坦白说，我们的付出对印度的那个小村落并没多大影响。想想看，我们教了一个星期的英文，可这能改变他们的教育制度，真正的提升他们的程度吗？说不定，等我们回新后，一切又会打回原型，所有的努力都是白费。其实，这一点，我早已看透，所以并没抱着多大的希望能改变什么。但，我并不后悔。我很开心我能出一份力，能为他们做些什么...尽管微不足道。这一趟印度之旅，对于自己，收获还蛮大的。我更清楚的看清了我自己，也重新认识了身边的朋友...
倘若还有机会，我想，我一定还会义不容辞的参与的...

今天奇迹般的，yep的会议提早一个小时解放了！！ 有点意外，因为通常会议没拖我们就谢天谢地了。这么早结束还是第一次呢！post trip marketing虽然比较闲，但也挺麻烦的，还要做 collage　送给赞助商。得去revise一下如何用photoshop。多少年没用了．．．

下午在clementi吃过中饭后，我们１２人就到附近的kbox买了２点到７点的学生套餐，准备好好地狂唱一番。服务生带领我们走进了一间超大的包厢。虽然来了kbox n次，这却是我第一次踏入这么大的包厢。包厢大得能容下我们两倍的人，但也同时失去了些的亲和力。今天所选的歌都好复古哦，大多都是些像《选择》的经典歌。当然，他们也选了几首流行歌，但都是新歌。我已很久没听广播了，所以那些个我都不会唱。一个下午唱下来，还挺累人的。我的喉咙都唱哑了，差点就失声了．．．

原本蛮高兴的一天最后不开心的结尾了。老爸几次电我，可因为包厢里太吵，没听见。就因为我没接他来电，他生气了，还说越来越不喜欢我了。谁稀罕他喜欢啦．．．包厢太吵又不是我的错，又不是故意不听他电话，发什么火啊？！再说他不喜欢我，我还不喜欢他呢！都这么大的一个人了，还这么不正经地学小孩子开伤人的玩笑．．．

i'll also miss the simple lifestyle and the thrilling rides that we had on the autos...
and i'll definitely miss the kids who kept asking me "what's your name?"

but it's nice to be home...
no more spicy food, no more blackouts and no more cold water baths....

so many things to do before the india trip...

have been very busy these few days
meetings, meetings and more meetings..
then there's dance practice for culture nite
and i was told on thurs tt we had to put up a wushu performance as well o.O
luckily wanling just learnt a taolu before exam
and kuangkai's jc cca was wushu =)
so we managed to come up with 4 items
and tt included my nanquan solo
haiz...
muz look at the videos and revise my taolu again T.T

went to henderson student care centre for our pre-trip volunteering yesterday
since me and jing kai are the only ones driving there, they tried to squeeze as many ppl in a car as possible...
now i know tt the max carrying capacity of an altis is 7 ppl...WOW!!
it's amazing how the 5 girls manage to fit into the back seats...
maybe it's because there's yan ling and felica =)
first time driving along lower delta road...
i made the wrong turn and ended up lost
luckily kuang kai was there to guide me...
(since i obviously cannot drive and look at the map at the same time)
i got a shock when i reached there.
we expected a much larger group, but only 13 kids turned up
even the volunteers outnumbered them
as a result, all of us also joined in the games
the introduction was quite funny
one of the boys actually introduced himself as Mr Yandao...lol
the kids were mostly boys (only 1 girl)
hence, they were very active and quite difficult to handle
but we all had a lot of fun...
after the arts and craft session, i had to leave to fetch my mom,
so i didn't get to watch the fashion parade...T.T
i wonder how they make a kimono from recycled materials...

今天是pharm congress
又是yep funraising的一天
由于我们1 点之前要到grand copthorne waterfront hotel,
而老妈又没法在我走之前把午饭做好，
所以只好饿着肚子去了
到了那儿， 我顿时傻了
他们的自助餐好丰富哦！！
简直是琳琅满目，什么都有
感觉到肚子在跟我抗议
咕咕直叫ing
但碍于面子问题
不好意思去拿着吃
只好强忍着了
讨厌！ choonpei 直在一旁诱惑我
可我们都没行动
最后都眼睁睁的看着食物从我们眼前被收走了
好不容易挨到tea break
我们受不了了（食物太诱人了!!）
于是不管形象地吃了起来
其实我们之前不用那么控制
因为那么多的食物
他们根本吃不完
与其白白浪费掉， 还不如喂饱我们的肚子 =）
今天的工作蛮轻松的
只需要动动嘴皮子就能筹到钱
我们下午的这一队没那么殷勤
可能是因为我们的注意力都被食物吸引去了吧
就连edwin也不例外
（女生通常比较喜好甜食，　所以我，kahmun和choonpei都是情有可原的=p ）
tea break 后，没人逗留在外面了
我们收摊了
比预期的时间早了一个小时
在等老爸来接我的当儿
我们去了great world city消耗时间
现在我知道当老爸说他二十分钟会到时，
他其实是指四十分钟．．．

went for YEP health checkup and immunisation at ttsh today
my dad dropped me off at orchard road on his way to work,
so i was the first person to reach novena mrt station
time : 8.30am
i was half an hour early
luckily the rest (clara, azza, kah mun, kuangkai and edwin) were quite punctual,
so i didn't wait very long
the doctor was not in when we arrived at the traveller's health & vaccination clinic
(cos we forgot to book an appointment =p)
fortunately, he came at 10am as there's another YEP group after us
realised tt doctors' signatures worth a lot of money
spent $15.49 for doctor consultation
and all he did was to ask a few questions and then sign on my medical form to show tt i'm fit for YEP =/
after tt i had my injections
took the hep A and thyphoid vaccination
(till now my arm is still numb T.T had to skip synergy practice)
the doctor also recommended flu vaccination
but kuang kai's the only one who went ahead to take it cos most of us found it too ex ( considering tt it lasts only 1 year )
I also took my blood group test
after 19 years,i finally get to know my blood group !! =)
shd able to know the results tml *hopeful look*
total amt paid = $119.80

after lunch at the kopitiam in ttsh, we went back to sch to help out in car wash
poor wanling and yanling spent the whole day under the hot sun washing cars
in the end, both of them got a bit sunburnt =p
although it rained in the afternoon and we had to spend half of the time under the shelter, we still managed to earn $544
a third of the money collected actually came from donations
cos some of the people just gave us the money and told us not to touch their cars XD
but of cos, there are cases where ppl take adv of our car washing services
we had to wash a super dirty white mercedes car
it looked as if the owner didn't wash her car for several years
it took us twice the amount of water to wash it
but after all the effort put in, the car looked much more presentable
i wonder if the owner can recognise her "new" car =)
all tt for only $10...

super tired today....

This morning, Wanling, Felica, Choon Pei, Jian Wei and me approached pharmacy professors and teaching assistants for donation/booking of car wash slots for nxt wk. We managed to collect $200+. Actually, we expected more. But most of the profs are giving lectures or are not around. Some profs are very generous ( Dr Chui gave us $50 juz for a car wash ) but some juz cannot make it ( Prof Heng refused to let us wash his car. He also didn't want to make a donation =s). But overall, the response was quite good. Most of the people we approached donated even if they don't have a car.
虽然只是小小的两元钞， 但积少成多嘛！

In the afternoon, i went into renal physio tutorial class feeling very under-prepared, cos i didn't study. I didn't even have the time to read through the renal lecture notes. But it seems like it makes no diff whether you studied or not, cos most of us ended up guessing our way through the qns.

Had another YEP facilitation session today.
First thing we did : introduce our new members - edwin, kuang kai, stephen (he's a 27 year old guy and a fren of yong qiang) and zhi yuan (a fren of shu fang; 1st year life science student)!! Since ee sang, adeline and jian wei pulled out from our project, we decided to recruit more people. We now have 22 ppl - 7guys, 15 girls. This combi is so much better than the 4-guys-and-17-girls group that we had previously. =)
Meeting dragged on....as usual...
It was supposed to end at 915pm, but i ended up leaving the USP room at abt 1025pm =s

Was chatting with Yong Qiang online just now
He said that the pre-trip volunteer work shd be more meaningful
sth like working with disabled children, volunteering in hospice care centres, etc
Great...looks like i just wasted my tues morning doing nth productive
and i have to contact metta later today to search for more volunteering opportunities
haiz...i'm from marketing cell ( fundraising )and now i'm doing stuff for the programme cell
oh well, i'm part of the team too...不用分的那么清楚　＝）

人生总有不完美的时候
不是每个故事都是happy ever after
不是每个丑小鸭都能变成天鹅
不是每件事都能毫无阻碍，顺顺利利地进行
但往往这不完美的人生才是最真实的

一大早就被老爸叫起
还没睡醒就得送他去 mrt station
打瞌睡ing
已经跟他抱怨了n遍
可都成了耳边风
谁叫我要用车呢?
只能自己可怜自己了...

At around 10am, i met azza and we went to the Metta Welfare Student Care Centre. We were supposed to discuss the details of our YEP pre-trip voluntary work. And we have already arranged for an appointment with Ms Sabaria, the person-in-charge. It was disappointing to know that she's on mc and we couldn't contact her. But luckily for us, we approached red swastika student care centre and they gave us the go-ahead on the volunteer work. They are quite flexible with the activities and timings. Their only request was to have it after the kids' exam. Guess it will be sth like post exam activities... 期待ing...

刚从st john island 回来不久
有人问: 去那儿干啥?
答 ：一个偏僻，人烟稀少的岛屿
正适合我们的yep retreat

星期六:
第一天到达岛屿
走进了我们所租的bungalow

第一件事 - 霸占房间！
我们year 1 的决定挤在一个房间里
这样好沟通嘛
奇怪的是 - 居然没有人要睡床？！
哈哈...那我就不客气了
我和 kah mun 共享了那张双人床
（直到晚上我才知道原来那儿也是最冷的...怪不得没人要床）
午饭后，
我们到岛上逛了一圈
发现我们似乎是岛上唯一的露营者
晚上我们玩了些简单的游戏
其中一个就是猜歌名
对我这个不听英语歌的人来说，这太难了啦!
他们画得再好看， 我也猜不出啊！
结果可想而知
forfeit - 与其他两位唱歌
羞死了
欢乐的时光总是过得最快的
一眨眼已是凌晨两点了

星期天：
我和kah mun第一个起床
其他人还在呼呼大睡
我们没事干， 于是便到厨房烧水煮milo
对不起, 我们先吃早餐了！
好不容易等到每个人都起来了
早上的活动居然是看小叮当
我觉得无聊, 又困到不行
就小睡了一会儿
后来又玩了些室内游戏
原本打算傍晚时到外面玩frisbee
可yongqiang在半路上跌了一交
只好抬他回去清理伤口
节目改为：看电视
晚上- 商量fundraising的东东
一天又过去了

今天：
一大早
又是我和kah mun第一个起
其他的year 1 也起得蛮早的
倒是学长们在睡懒觉
因为我们赶着时间check out
azza 用锅和杓子把他们叫醒了
人工闹钟...不错吧 =p
收拾东西后
我们“依依不舍”地搭船离开了
途中经过kusu island
我们把剩下的面包喂给了那儿的乌龟
看着那些乌龟争先抢后地吃面包的样子
脑里浮现出一个问题 - 他们多久没吃饭啦?

学校, 宿舍两头跑
好累啊！
一旦有课余时间, 我们year 1 就会去帮忙
哪怕只是短短的两个小时
其实我们到那儿
也帮不上什么忙
只是到那儿去当试吃的白老鼠
不少烤坏了的cookies 都进肚了
不知会不会吃坏肚子

踏进大课堂的第一步
就看见了一大篮的cookies迎接着我
原来yep的其他人在星期天烘了好几批cookies
准备卖给year 1 和 3
没想到
我们居然能够全部卖完
单单year 1 我们就买了50+ 包
year 3 则比较少
才30+ 包
共赚了$174
虽然离我们$5k 的目标还很遥远
但我们已经往前迈了一小步
是个很不错的开始
毕竟饭要一口一口吃,路要一步一步走嘛
原本还以为会有剩下的卖给year 2...可是
嘻嘻...看来我们星期三又要开工烘cookies了!
好有成就感哦！！

dispense-a-dream 的第一个facilitation session 结束于10点半 害得老爸饿着肚子等了半小时 嘻嘻！！报应来啦！！ 谁叫他擅自把我的手提电脑重新改装了 还把我的东东全弄不见了 害得我伤心了好几天呢

还没弄清楚状况，就发现自己正在 Dispense-A-Dream 的interview 中...
